Mariel Clayton is a Canadian photographer who never get tired of playing with Barbie's. Her work describes her repulsion to the typical stereotypes of women in today's modern society. For her there is more than the traditional social values of this consumerist society. In fact with her installations she wants in a very sarcastic and disturbing way protest with that superficial image of woman that it's impose through those iconic figures, like Barbie. Blood, hardcore sex, decapitation, necrophilia, more blood, tons of guns, well you name it, everything that Barbie doesn't do in her normal plastic life. Here she's ready to rip your head off, rape Ken ( poor little bastard!) and then cook some body parts if she feels hungry. Well and for me, f**k stereotypes, this new gangsta Barbie rules !!! By the way I do not get inspired with ODD FUTURE post to make this one... just pure coincidence lol !
